Archivio Maserati

This is a remarkable publication produced by Maserati around 1990 and is a large box measuring 50cm x 38cm x 6cm ( 20 inches x 16 inches x 2 inches) weighing 4 kilos.

Lavishly produced and beautifully printed in Bergamo it features quality reproductions of items from Maserati’s archives starting out with the original design drawings for the Maserati “Neptune” logo (1926) and project drawings of the original Tipo 26 ( 1926)

The sales contract for the purchase of a Maserati 8CM by Tazio Nuvolari including his signature (1934)

Technical data sheets of the 8CTF 3 litre grand prix car one of which was to win the 1940 Indianapolis 500.

The sales catalogue for the Electric trucks made by Maserati in WWII

And many more catalogues and drawings through the years including the four single sheet catalogues the company made in 1958 for the four sports racing cars they had produced, the 150S, the 2000SI, the 300S and the 450S (Illustrated) originals of which I was given during my 1958 visit to the factory.

It was an extremely expensive project and this is one of the limited edition versions, number 378, of only 500 offered for sale – and is extremely rare.
