This plaque was presented to the seller, Graham Gauld, in Beijing in 1993 by Jin Cheng Qi , executive vice-president and secretary general of the Federation of Automobile Sports of the People’s Republic of China following his talk to members of the executive on the history of motor racing and rallying.
It is a finishers plaque for the 1993 Hong Kong – Bejing Rally mounted on wood and in its ornamental case
The rally was won that year by Ari Vatanen and Bruno Berglund driving a Subaru Legacy RS ahead of Colin McRae driving a similar factory car.
