This is a rare and quirky hard cover book in a slip cover is slightly different from usual.
The noted Italian Ferrari historian Franco Varisco has gathered together short one-page articles written by Ferrari drivers and personalities as well as journalists from all over the World on Ferrari subjects some of which are relatively obscure but illustrated with a large number of detail photographs centred around the Ferrari Prancing Horse symbol.
There is an introduction to the history of Ferrari with some interesting photos but this is essentially a beautifully produced coffee table book that anyone could find of interest. The text is solely in Italian but the stories written are short enough to be easily translated on Google translate.
It was given to Graham Gauld by the author who published some of Gauld’s comments on his first visit to Maranello in 1957 in the book.
