Personal Fiat Photo Archive

£210.00£220.00

This item is unique as it is my own personal collection of Fiat archive photographs gathered together over the space of 50 years the majority of which were collected when I was a consultant to Fiat Auto UK Ltd and the link between the London based company and the Fiat Historical archives. Many of them were rescued from destruction when Fiat Auto UK moved premises forty years ago.

There are around 250 photographs going right back to the founding of the company including some very rare photos of Senator Agnelli one of the original founders of Fiat and a collection of most of the Fiat grand prix cars that were built. In addition, there are photos of Dante Giacosa the great Fiat designer and his produces such as the Fiat 500, a number of photographs of Fiat Seaplanes one of which won the Schneider Trophy.

The collection would be ideal for any budding Fiat historian or existing Fiat enthusiast.
Three typical examples of the archive can be seen here :

  • An official factory photograph of the new Lingotto factory
  • Felize Nazzaro winning the Kaiserpreis on the Taunus circuit with the 1907 Fiat 130 grand prix car.
  • Adolf Hitler inspecting the Fiat 500 at the 1936 Berlin Motor Show.
