This is a very rare hard cover landscape booklet produced in 1975 to mark the 20th anniversary of the Tour de France Rally which was run on various racing circuits throughout France and was very popular. The first winner was Pagnibon the French driver in a Ferrari 212 and the event is famous for the fact that it was won in 1956 by the Marquis de Portago in a long wheelbase Ferrari 250GT as a result of which this model was renamed the Ferrari 250 TDF for Tour de France.

The book has 50 pages and is fragile for the original publishers used a heavy textured cover but only secured the pages with a thin cord and this has separated but not affected the book.

It was given to the seller, Graham Gauld, by the great Bernard Consten multiple winner of the Touring Car Section of the Tour de France in Jaguar and Alfa Romeo, and is dedicated to the seller. Also included is a separate note from Consten to the seller. As can be seen in the attached photograph.

The first actual Tour de France was in 1899 and each of the TDF events from 1950 to 1975 is covered by a caption briefly covering that years event with an appropriate photographs as can be seen in the other photo attached. The captions are written by noted French historian Christian Moity.

What makes the book rare is that it is number 157 of a very short run published in 1975
