Ford

This is the British edition of Booton Herndon’s impressive history of the two Henry Ford’s. This to my mind is one of the best biographies as it is pretty balanced in its view of the original Henry Ford “…..at the age of 80 in the midst of a war (WW II) with huge military orders to fill, Henry Ford himself assumed the presidency of the company. He was not fit for the task.”

The second Henry was, of course, Henry Ford II but he does not forget the rather tragic figure of Edzel Ford and the equally tragic fact that the car named after him, the Edzel, was one of the more disastrous models Ford ever built.

This is a good read and is a First Edition
